In 2010 , Apple added “Special Education” as a category in the iTunes Store. In there you will find 100’s of free and paid apps for everything from reading and maths, emotional wellbeing, sign language to autism and many more.

Of course many of the “creation” apps are very powerful when working with students with special needs but for specific purposes you might find these lists useful.
