Move over the “three R’s” the new kid on the education block is the Four C’s. Our students need to Collect, Curate, Collaborate and Create. What more powerful and engaging way for our students to Create and present their learning than through movie making.
This is the simplified and very quick version of the Web 2 version of Animoto. Join up and select the free membership. This will enable you to make 30 second very professional movies. I great way to record so much of what happens in classes every day. My an ad for anything – favourite books, agreed class rule or a maths concept.
This is a lovely simple free app that is a little like Animoto in that is takes photos and simple puts them in to an animation movie with music. It’s not quite a jazzy as Animoto but you are not limited to the number of images so the pictures aren’t shown for a shorter time if you put more in. Simple, easy and quick, well worth a try.
Fantastic way to make short movies and trailers. I funky version of Apple’s iMovie. $5.49
This app is a bit like “Photostory” and costs $1.99
This is a huge amount of fun. Use this app to very simply add special effects to your movies. Take a video with the camera in the iPad then add effects – cause and explosion, have a car roll in or even star ta fire. A free app but there are in app purchases if you want extra effects
This is so much fun. Cartoonatic lets you select a range of comic like effects then record a video with the camera. The finished video can then be exported to your camera roll. It is an iPhone app but work well on the iPad too.
This is a really simple little app to splice together video clips. So many apps create small clips that are saved to your camera roll. Splice lets you select them, drop them into the app, select transitions and music and export the finished video to your camera roll to share. I really couldn’t be easier and I love being able to join o all the clips kids make with apps like Morpho or Chatter kids into a very professional looking movie
